A story in the making... The unveiling of the supernatural population to the modern day world. Negotiations between the non-human and human races spanned years before reaching a compromise. And while the government was prepared, lives on both sides of the track were rocked with upheaval. The religious protested, and humans cried out in fear. Striking at those that least deserved it. Once beloved members of the community looked upon with wary misunderstanding. But not everyone threw hatred upon the Others. Some embraced the different, and welcomed it. Some were envious.
Now, many years later, thanks to the efforts between the human governments and the supernatural councils, things once unsettled after the unveiling have calmed. Most are content to live there lives, rather than protest things that can’t and won’t be changed. Differences are common place. And it is as likely to have a demon or a vampire for a neighbor as it might be to have your average mortal. More and more races show themselves day by day. All working toward a peaceful and cooperative future.
But there is a darker side, as there is in all things. Cults and religious sects dedicated to the extermination of supernatural kind…breeding hunters trained to kill. And the worst offender is the Brotherhood of Light, an evil cult who brainwashes kidnapped or orphaned children till they are little more than fanatical followers. Doing the deeds of there superiors without so much as a question, while believing that the nonhuman races are unholy abominations. Sins against god who must be eliminated. Not a one has ever seen there leader, the Grand Master. He is a secretive creature, and it is rumored he’s not quite human either. A being with a hatred for others, hell bent on ruining this precious little peace.
The cults are not the only things one might worry over. Fiends are deadly, vicious beings. The true creatures that go bump in the night and bring nightmares to children. They escape from the realm Below; twisted beings that were once Demon who gave into darkness and evaded the Watch…a group of demons who protect the world Above from those vile beasts. Fiends desire to cast a sacred spell, to block out the light of day so they might roam free on earth. Bringing with them unstoppable destruction.
And on top of all that, there is ever the petty differences between the races. The eternal arguments between the seelie and unseelie fae, the unease witches have with the other supernatural beings, the lingering remnants of racism among human kind, and so much more. Now ask yourself this question. Can you survive in the world as it is? And will you choose to be on the side of those seeking to keep both freedom and peace? Or will you turn to the darkness and help on different fronts, to offer up a healthy dose of destruction?
Choose your path. Yes loves, I know there is alot of information to go through...but this is from one of my own past RPs. It was a massive site and I thought I'd bring it here because it would have been a shame to lose it.

Important Information about the RP: The differance between a Skill and a power?: A skill is being defined as something along the lines of martial arts, abilities with weaponry, photographic memories, artistic ability, ect... A power is being defined as shapeshifting, magic, transformation, ect... Powers?: In Nox, we're not supplying information on given powers and abilities that might limit one's creativity. Create your own when you submit your profile, and if they need to be altered a bit we'll let you know. Please remember the race you choose to make your character when you go about creating powers. A fiend, for example, couldn't have the powers of light and healing. And vampires can't control magic like a witch can unless said vampire was a witch in life. Also keep in mind the rules about power play and god modding. Stronger abilities will have to have some give to them. You can't bring out some explosive amount of power without personal consequences like exhaustion. And keep in mind that age and experience are also a contributing factor. It makes little sense for a young immortal to be as strong as one with a great deal more years under there belt. Slavery: It is organized by a secret group of sorcerers and kept carefully from the eyes of those who might put a stop to it, at least for the time being. Slaves can be captured from any race, as the tastes of wealthy buyers enjoy an endless banquets of pets to choose from. And while some slaves are captured, some...are bred. The use of slaves are as varied as there races, and it is up to the master's discretion what the merchandise is used for. Most slaves are marked in some form or fashion, and that to is at the master (or mistress's) discretion. The question of immortality: To prevent god-modding, immortality can be directly associated with being ageless. All races have weaknesses, some simply live longer than others. And just as all races have weaknesses, all races can be killed in some form or fashion. Cannon Characters and Plot involvement: I have some cannon characters planned, but if anyone would like to take on a part before I get the list out-PM me and let me know. The plot I've written up has countless opportunities for involvement.

For the following posts: These are only the main races, that are necessary to the plot. In truth, there are new races being discovered each and every day, and we're not limiting anyone on that aspect. Primarily these are suggestions, as are the descriptions on each of them. However the councils listed are valid and all races are expected to acknowledge them.

Vampire:
■ Immortal ■Ageless Beauty ■Alluring ■Powerful
The importance of Bloodlines
Within the vampire world, the importance of bloodline and the age of one's sire is prominent. A young vampire attempting to create new vampires will only create weaker beings. However, the older the sire, the greater the fledgling's strength will be. For instance if a nine hundred year old vampire turned a human, there chylde would have the strength of a vampire decades old.
The Process of Turning
•An intentional and willing turning is a simple process. The vampire first bites the human and ingests some of his or her blood. And then via some sort of wound the human ingests the vampire's blood. This sort of turning is done without any pain what so ever and takes hours to complete the transition. Often, however, the fledgling won't even realize its completed save for the strengthened senses. •An unwilling, unintentional turning is agonizingly painful. The human's body naturally fights the change, and will attack not only others around them but themselves. Many do not survive. And often those that do, can't understand there own new strength. They don't realize what has happened to them, and if not found by an older vampire, it isn't uncommon that they turn rogue.
Good and Evil
Vampire kind aren't the slathering undead hell bent on the destruction of the world. If a vampire was good in life, unless something particularly tramatic happens or there turning is forced, they will be good in the afterlife to. An evil human turned, will be doubly evil as a vampire. Characteristics and personalities are amplified with immortal blood.
Feeding
Naturally, they must feed on blood. Human blood is the most nutricious. A young vampire would require no more than two pints of human blood a day, and there is little need to kill for it. If a vampire turns to animal blood, it requires twice the amount. And the actual feeding isn't always comfortable. The final choice is a newly developed synthetic blood recently developed. However, the price of it is such that it is only available to the oldest vampire. A weeks supply alone would cose upwards of a million dollars.
Fated
Like many supernaturals, Vampires have a fated mate. Most often there mates are human, though it isn't always the case. And once they find there mate, they become instinctually protective of that individual and desire them above all else. There blood is the most appealing, and the blood of a vampire's mate will not only fill that vampire up but offer up greater strength than feeding on another would. Many however, might go centuries without finding this special bond. If they ever do at all.
Pomme de Sang
As expected some humans would get involved with vampire kind. The oldest and most cherished title for a human in the vampire world is the Pomme de Sang.
A pomme de sang, or "apple of blood," refers to a person who has agreed to feed a vampire regularly. In vampire society, the pomme de sang is a submissive but valued position, similar to a "kept man or woman" among humans. Pommes de sang are protected from interference by other vampires, and are typically given gifts and otherwise treated as a human might treat a lover.
While not all Pomme de Sang are human (they can be any race willing to take the position and offer up there blood), the rarest form of the class is: The born Pomme de Sang. They're born with specific characteristics that define them, and its actually quite a rare phenomenon.
Characteristics of a born Pomme de Sang-not considered powers, but physical traits
■Affinity for Vampires ■The ability to sense vampires and there age ■A drive to give blood, even before coming under the care of a vampire, if they choose to do so. It becomes almost agonizingly painful for them to withhold the giving of blood and many, if without a vampire, will often choose to sate this need by going to blood banks. ■A certain scent that seems to draw vampires ■Quicker than average ability to heal. ■Empathy and a powerful bond, mentally or otherwise, with there vampire.
Sourdre de Sang
A sourdre de sang, or "fountain of blood", is a vampire capable of supporting his or her own bloodline. A sourde de sang generates his or her own animating power, and also provides animating power for all vampires that share a bloodline or have taken blood oaths to members of the sourde's bloodline. A sourde de sang is owed a duty of fealty by all vampires that draw power from its bloodline.
The European Council of Vampires
Headed over by some of the worlds most ancient vampires, the European council of vampires creates the laws that there kind abide by. There are strict rules to there interactions with mortals, and those that disobey those laws are subject to punishment. Punishments include but are not limited to stints in vampire prison and final death. The vampire council and the council of others don't always see eye to eye. Particularly on the matters of turning mortals into vampires.
The ECOV strictly regulate turnings in belief that they should only be done either in dire need or with the permission of the ECOV itself. Those few individuals subject to a forced turning are often executed to keep them from turning rogue.
The Council of Others however is quite a bit more lenient. Turnings are legal as long as the mortal and vampire are willing. And unwillingly turned fledglings are placed beneath the care of an older vampire. While rogues who become violent and kill are executed.
It is general and unspoken law that vampires do not drain there human prey. And something enforced by both councils.
Enforcers - Enforcers are the warriors of the vampire world. They carry out the will of the ECOV, and bring punishment to those that deserve it, no matter the corner of the world they reside in.

Witches: ¡Witches are supernatural, but human in biology. ¡They tend to have an average life span of two hundred years, unless altered in some aspect such as being subject to vampirism. ¡Many traditional witches tend to keep to there own communities, and aren't as apt to being open about the extent of there powers. Types of Witches Elementalists are witches who have control over the elements, Earth, wind, fire, water, aether, light, and darkness...or various other forms of them. A witch may specify in one or more of these, though it would be extremely rare for an elementalist to have control over opposing elements thanks to the conflicting natures. However, there will always be a singular element that the witch has a greater affinity for, and thus a greater skill at wielding it. And like the elements, there are many sub-groups of elementalists. One example of a sub-group earth elementalist for example, would be a herbalist. Healers are witches who wield energy to heal wounds and cure minor illnesses. This is perhaps one of the hardest branches of witch craft to become involved in because it takes a great deal of discipline that most individuals lack. Most witches who strive to be healers begin early in childhood and carry there training through out there entire lives. They are the veritable scientists of the witching world, completing experiments and the like to better serve there patients, and there kind. Necromancers have an affinity with the dead. They aren't always dark or evil, though necromancery has often been looked at as a vile practice. Necromancers have varied skills. Some might be able to talk to the dead. Others might be able to animate corpse, though the longer a corpse has been dead...the more power it takes to raise and control the corpse. They tend to have an affinity for vampire kind, and can sense even the most powerful of them. The stronger necromancers have a rare immunity against vampiric mind control. But at the same time, they have a weakness to vampiric charm and are often drawn to the race. Sorcerers are the summoners of the witching world. While they have a general control over wielding energy and spell casting, there power lays within the ability to summon. Most tend to stick with summoning beings of nature, animals, or simple objects. But others delve into the darker art of summoning fiends and other vile beings to do there bidding. This breed of sorcerer tends to have a special skill in spells that enslave and entrap. Psychics are some of the most varied of witches. There clairvoyants, telepaths, telekinetics, palm readers, and the like. They tend to not have great skill in wielding energy or spells, but seems to specialize in minor curses. There minds are powerful things, and they're some of the most underappreciated witches of the lot. These are only a few differant kinds of witches out there. Some may fit in more than one or none of these categories.

Faery:
¡A term used to describe many subclasses of races. ¡They come in all shapes and sizes. ¡While there lifespans are all different, they are generally classified as immortal.
Subclasses
There are a countless number of Faery sub-classes and include, but are not limited to: Sidhe, Goblin, Kelpie, Siren, Brownie, Phouka, and Boggart. Information on these creatures and other fae can be found here.
The Sidhe are the ruling class of fae. They are beautiful, sentient creatures who have a distinctly otherworldly appearance. Generally, they are divided into two courts: the seelie and the unseelie. Once upon a time, the sidhe were considered deities of nature but those days are long past. Children come few and far inbetween for this immortal race, and for that reason those born are cherished.
The seelie or Summer court are rumoured to be the 'good' fae. And while they generally tend to be the ligher of the species, they are also vain...arrogant...and generally intolerant toward mixed breeding. They generally view sidhe as superior to all other fae, and while don't disdain trysts, tend to only associate with themselves. There ruler is Queen Mauve.
The unseelie or winter court are rumoured to be the 'bad' fae. In truth, they are simply more open about there activities than the seelie. Many of the unseelie sidhe are banished Seelie court members, or mixed fae. The winter court welcomes all, though it is generally a more violent place. And it is rumoured that there ruler, King Edain verges on insanity and searches for his heir. When he isn't tormenting his guard.
Not all fae belong to a court. Some are rogue, and those few are generally looked upon with suspicion by the rest of the population of fae.
Both courts are located within the next realm over and use the magic of fae-made gates to enter the mortal realm. These gates are generally known as faery hills but that isn't an accurate term considering the gates are simply created from vast amounts of energy.
Demon:
¡Immortal ¡Powerful ¡Warriors ¡Keepers of Knowledge
Once called Daimons, long before given the humanized name demon, they come in all shapes, sizes, kinds, and personalities. Each one is unique as the rest, and as such can't be summed into any few amount of words. However, the most common demon is the sun demon, who draw there power from the light of day.
Demons are both warriors and keepers of knowledge. There ability to do battle is unparalled. They are strong, skilled, and have spent centuries honing there skills. Also, they keep not only there knowledge but the knowledge of other races. And have a great penchant for the truth.
the Watch
The watch is a group of demons honour bound to protect there kind, and the world above from fiends. There goal is not only to keep fiends from killing, but to keep them from getting ahold of objects that could otherwise make the world above a place of endless darkness.
Shapeshifter:
¡Animalistic ¡They tend to embody there animals in some small physical way.¡Shapeshifters come in nearly every animal, though the most common are felines and canines.
They are commonly referred to as Were-beasts by human kind, though that is far from the truth. Shapeshifters are born, and can't be created by being bitten as legend tends to go. There animals are very much a part of there beings, and they have three shapes: Humanoid, animal, and an in-between forms. There behavior is largely ruled by what animal they are, and there instincts.
They tend to survive in groups as they would in the wild. Wolves stick to packs, lions to prides, ect. All shapeshifters have a destined mate. And while they tend to be quite sexual in nature, once they find there mate...they will have no interest in any other. Many however, simply marry out of convenience or current love, because finding one's destiny is never an easy thing.
When a shapeshifter as young with one not shapeshifter, they tend to take on both there parents characteristics. While some are less tolerant toward 'mongrels', in truth they are as strong and as connected to there animal as a normal shifter.
Humans:
¡Non-Supernatural ¡No particularly special powers unless altered into another race ¡Average Life Span
Humans come in a variety of appearances, hailing from all branches of the world. With a vast array of ways to modify the body, and the extensive amounts of clothing available...they come in every shape and size and color.
While it doesn't extend to all humans, not all are particularly open to the supernatural world. At times racist, even years after the unveiling some haven't quite settled.
However this doesn't apply to every single one. Most prefer to live in peace alongside there non human neighbors. Getting along rather than creating war over things that can't and won't be changed
Sector X
The government group of humans who have been working with supernaturals long before the unveiling. For years they strived alongside the leaders and councils of the supernatural world to work toward a peaceful and cooperative future.
Spook Squad Soldier - Individuals on the spook squad act as the policemen of the supernatural world. They stave off attacks on the innocent, fight injustice, and help keep the peace.
Diplomat - Much like a diplomat between countries, these individuals are sent to the various races to discuss important matters and continue to keep peace among the populace. It isn't always a safe job because Diplomats are generally targeted by supernatural hate groups. As well as being sent to even remote locations to speak to the individual groups who aren't as receptive to human kind.
Scientist - Those who work within Sector X completing varied experiments.
The Cultists/Sectists
The darker side of humanity, they loathe the supernatural races...believing them to be abominations. Racist, hateful, and fanatic to the extreme. They'll stop at nothing to carry out there twisted version of the truth.
Hunters - Those that hunt for the Brotherhood of Light. They were once stollen or orphaned children whose minds have all but been warped. There raised in the heat of battle. Trained to be living weapons. The skill in which they fight almost makes up for not having supernatural powers.
Priests - The religious messengers of the various cults and sects. They spread the word of there group, and preach about the evils of Supernatural kind
Scientist - Not all scientists work for the good guys. Some work with the most nefarious of the various hate groups to come up with new methods of eradication and weapons to see to the destruction of the supernatural population. These individuals don't do it for a religious standing however, they do it from a strictly scientific view. Seeing creatures like vampires and demons as little more than science experiments and test subjects.
Classes
Pomme de Sang
As expected some humans would get involved with vampire kind. The oldest and most cherished title for a human in the vampire world is the Pomme de Sang.
A pomme de sang, or "apple of blood," refers to a person who has agreed to feed a vampire regularly. Fiends:
Fiends are considered the scourge of the world Below and above alike. Though not all are evil, many are beings that were once demon, who have given there hearts over to darkness. While others yet are creatures birthed from the most hellish of places or are deformed and twisted by magic. They generally have twisted forms and aren't the most beautiful of beings to look at. With extremities like antennae, and horns, and tenticles, and other things that mark them as being fiend, there hard to miss.
Most come to the world above via sorcerer summoning and are made more violent by that forced enslavement. Often killing various beings to use there blood in a sort of spell reversement to break free. The stronger the summoner requires the stronger kill.
They tend to be vengeful, and hateful. Especially because they can't come out in the light of day. One large goal among the more evil fiends is to find a series of spells and objects that would either allow them out into sunlight or bring eternal darkness to the world above.

City Information
Nox City is located on the East Coast of the United States. The temperature varies according to season, but generally remains neither to hot nor too cold and appeals to a large variety of individuals. Since it has only come about in the past few decades, it is a relatively new city, in sharp comparison with others such as New York.
Within and outside of the city are countless areas to visit. Here are just a few of the more popular ones, and information about them.
Club Tempest
Even bad guys need a place to hang out. Located in the shady Southside, Club Tempest has only one rule: there are no rules. Disguised cleverly as a warehouse to the passerby, the inside is elegant and posh. Have yourself some drinks, purchase a visit to the in-house brothel where you can sample the finest slaves, or even make bets at the poker table. But stay out of the back offices unless you have an invitation or a desire to run into the fiend that guards it.
The Black Market
A name that speaks for itself, it is many various secret locations where illegal items are sold, including slaves generally. It is usually held where the public doesn't venture.
Le Sombre Lune
Located in the downtown area, its the most popular club in the city and is located in a posh highrise, owned by a demon who has decreed the place a non-violence zone. Those that break the rules of sanctuary often disappear for days on end, within the bowels of the highrise where they learn the consequences of what happens when you don't listen. Its always bumping, always exciting...and always open. Spanning three entire floors, that range from a restaurant, dancing, and a bar. The VIP section is a sought after hot spot that only the elite ever get to see.
The Inner City Park
A place for those few city folk who desire to get out and relax beneath the cover of the trees. It contains a small man made lake and countless walking trails to keep in shape on.
The Boardwalk
Visit the boardwalk! Countless little shops and places to eat line this well kept pier. As well as many opportunities to play games, purchase souvenirs, or visit the Nox City Amusement park that juts out over the water.
Downtown
The hustle and bustle of downtown. Businesses, clubs, restaurants, and other similar places hale here. Streets and sidewalks are often crowded and it is recommended that the alley ways are avoided.
The Upper East Side
Prestigious and sprawling, it is filled with the homes of the rich and elite...and all the places that they might occupy including various private clubs, expensive restaurants, and boutiques.
The West Side
Catering to the middle class of the city, it contains everything from apartments, to shopping centers, to countless mom and pop businesses. Here life isn't about luxury but simply living and getting by. Its streets are never the less, generally safe.
The South Side
This is the poorest district in the city. Here, the streets aren't well kept and there is the threat of danger around every corner. Gangs and fiends, and other creatures prowl here seeking prey...and the businesses here aren't quite as presentable as they are elsewhere. Being out and about here at night wouldn't be a good idea.
Eden
Everyone needs to get away. Just outside of the city, on a great many sprawling acres of well kept land, rests the resort Eden. Owned by a rogue Unseelie Sidhe, it is decked out for luxury and contains every amenity imaginable. Including a rather impressive casino, a relaxing spa, and other sorts of entertainment both inside and out.
The Abandoned Airfield
At first glance, this area appears like a normal airfield that has fallen into abandon and disuse. However beneath this guise is the headquarters for Sector X.
Suburbia
The suburbs. Home to families, and small schools, and other various places who would prefer not to be in the hustle and bustle of the city.
More to come soon...
